Introduction

The Association of Business Executives (www.abeuk.org) is a UK-based professional organization formed in 1973 that offers internationally certified business education courses. ABE courses qualify you for entry into further studies at several universities around the world, including the University of the West Indies and Heriot-Watt University, and various professional bodies (eg: the ACCA). 

Course Overview

The ABE Diploma in Business Management is an intermediate level business qualification that is equivalent in standard to the first year of a UK degree programme.   The DBM provides a sound introduction into the theory and practice of business and can be used as either a stepping stone for a career in business or a foundation for managing your own business.

Accreditation and Future Progression

The ABE Diploma in Business Management is accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (www.qcda.gov.uk), the national regulatory authority for post-secondary qualifications in the UK.   It is also fully accredited by the University Council of Jamaica. 

Graduates of the DBM are exempted from seven of the twelve modules in the Heriot Watt University management BA degrees available at B&B University College, as well as four of the twelve subjects in the University of London management BSc degrees available at B&B University College.

Key Programme Dates

There are two class periods for the DBM each year - January to May and July to November.   The respective registration deadlines are November 30 and May 30.  Examinations are held in June and December.
