Overview

The discipline of project management has become central to the management of leading organizations.  From technology consultancies to the major financial institutions, there is a recognition of the benefits strategic project management can bring.   Subsequently, leading organizations are moving to establish project-based teams in all functional areas.   The demand for qualified project managers has exploded accordingly. 

The PMP was initiated by the Project Management Institute (www.pmi.org) to certify the understanding of the knowledge and skills involved in leading and directing project teams and in delivering results within the constraints of time, budget, and resources.

Human Resource Management: Developing a Human Resource plan; Acquiring, developing & managing project team

Entry Requirements

The entry requirement for the PMP is a bachelors degree and 3 years project management experience.

Key Programme Dates

There are two class periods for the programme each year – May to July and September to November. The respective registration deadlines are April 30 and October 31.   Examinations are held in August and December.

Classes are held on Saturdays from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
