(Senior) Professional in Human Resources

Overview

The (Senior) Professional in Human Resources and the Professional in Human Resources qualifications are the global benchmarks used to demonstrate expertise in HRM.   The PHR/SPHR was established by the Society for Human Resource Management (www.shrm.org), the largest professional HR organisation in the world with over 150,000 members.  Possession of the qualifications shows a mastery over the skills needed for addressing human resource strategic planning, family/social issues impacting the workplace, employee rights, international competition, and other key HR issues

The PHR/SPHR are aimed at all human resource practitioners and consultants who wish to improve their strategic analysis of key HR issues.   Both exams cover the same material.  However, the questions on the SPHR are more strategic in nature as this examination draws on the experiences and skills used at the senior management level.   The focus of the PHR is more operational in nature.
